Trustmarque Solutions Acquires Nimbus Technology Systems Ltd

Trustmarque acquires specialist cloud business as part of its evolving cloud strategy

York, UK - 10th May 2011 - Value Added Reseller (VAR) Trustmarque Solutions has acquired the cloud infrastructure and hosted services provider Nimbus Technology Systems Ltd. Nimbus Technology Systems currently provides consultancy, planning and migration services as well as offering a range of cloud Infrastructure and software-as-a-service solutions for SME organisations. Nimbus' clients are able to access and run their businesses on enterprise-class IT systems, software and infrastructure without any capital investment.

The acquisition provides Trustmarque with more breadth and depth of expertise in cloud service delivery as well as acquiring an expanded portfolio of managed cloud services from simple hosted email systems (hosted Microsoft Exchange 2007®) right through to complete hosted IT and Telecoms systems for larger organisations.

Whilst Trustmarque is already active in assisting organisations plan and achieve their goals in this market, the acquisition delivers an established customer base, proven services and access to specific expertise and resources in cloud delivery. Through the Nimbus acquisition, leveraging best of breed providers and legacy expertise, Trustmarque is able to help customers safely and securely adopt cloud technologies into their IT environment. The net result is an ability to provide the right solution for customers whether it's 'on-premise', 'off-premise' or a mix of both, affording customers true, independent service from a trusted partner.

This transaction is the first in a planned series of strategic acquisitions by Trustmarque as they aim to extend their range of expertise, capabilities and value added service offerings. The Nimbus acquisition will enhance Trustmarque Enterprise Solutions Group (TESG) services by adding a suite of hosted and managed solutions that sit between on-premise and SaaS offering a greater degree of customisation and customer alignment.

Simon Rutt will be heading up the TESG division, which will incorporate the Nimbus stack of services following the acquisition, and takes on the role of Services and Solutions Director.
